CANARY ISLANDS [part 4]

DUNES

In Maspalomas, we've discovered the spectacular stretch of dunes, which years ago were designated a national park.
We crossed the dunes on foot, up and down, in the warm sand...It made me believe I was in a different part of the world..

I saw plants that somehow manage to survive in all this aridity like the so weird and harmful "knitting-needles plant"...that is the name I called it with.

Seemingly vulnerable...

It was 7pm and the light was magic.
It's been one of the most suggestive moments of the week.

CANARY ISLANDS [part 3]

One day, the boys suggested a trip to the Pico de las Nievas (m.1949) and to the Roque Nublo. There was nothing to say, just climb and admire the panorama. Really amazing! It reminds the Death Valley for some aspects.
The temperature was about 35°C... and notwithstanding the heat of hell, we climbed to the top...

Fortunately, got to the top and quite overwhelmed, we found a refreshing cave to refuge and rest for a while. So funny at that altitude!

CANARY ISLANDS [part 1]

Let's begin with these urban pics taken in Las Palmas, the capital of the Canary Islands! We spent joyful time wandering in its streets with our friends Fab and Gilou. Great time, great people, great souvenir!
